Coalescence of Spirit

Leaves fan from stems

as fingers from palms --

each unfurling to reveal pulsing life

and the Creator's calloused impressions.

As pressure forms stone,

so is strength of heart formed.

Hewn from rock, from earth,

from grit and fire, we bond

joys together to shape an existence,

in which we live our days:

secure. With worn hands we cup

moments like these, bring them close

tuck them in the pocket of our being,

never to be let go. Breath to breath,

we pause in the space between,

when silence brings wealth

of blooming color, quiet

echoes of music-- singing

of that eternal tether.
